Here's what's included in your hospital room rate:
- Overhead for 24/7 operations such as water, heating, air conditioning, electrical, and maintenance;
- Permanent or multiple-use equipment such as patient beds, intravenous poles, transport tables, and wheelchairs;
- Clinical support services such as care management and social services, unit coordination, nursing assistance, transport, patient access, and financial counseling;
- Dietary and nutritional services, including meals;
- Housekeeping services;
- Health information management services;
- Support services, including operations, finance, and patient financial services;
- Routine nursing services are generally available to all patients, including, but not limited to, nursing assessments;
- Intravenous injection and infusion administration, including intravenous and midline placement;
- Nebulizer treatments provided by nursing;
- Minor (routine) medical and surgical supplies.
